Linking your money
Connect your bank accounts, credit cards, and income so weFi has something to work with.
Linking your bank accounts
weFi uses Plaid to link your bank accounts — the same secure connection used by thousands of financial apps.
During signup, you'll go through the Plaid flow: pick your bank, sign in with your online-banking credentials, and choose which accounts to share. You can add more accounts anytime from your profile.
weFi never sees or stores your bank password — Plaid handles the connection.
Linking your credit cards
The same way you link bank accounts — through the Plaid flow, during signup or later from your profile.
Once linked, weFi can see your recent transactions, balances, and upcoming payment dates for those cards.
Adding your income
During signup, weFi asks for the frequency and amount of your paycheck or other income (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly).
You can update this anytime in your profile. weFi also picks up income deposits it sees in your linked bank accounts and adds them to the picture.
Does weFi work with my bank?
If your bank or credit union is supported by Plaid, weFi can connect to it — that covers most US banks and credit unions.
If you can't find yours during signup, reach out on our contact page and we'll look into it.
Linking multiple accounts
You can link as many bank accounts and credit cards as you want. weFi looks across all of them when it decides what to tell you.
There's no benefit to hiding an account from weFi — the more it can see, the more accurate the picture.
Unlinking an account
To remove a linked account:
Open the app and go to your profile.
Find the account under Linked Accounts.
Tap the account, then tap Remove and confirm.
Once removed, weFi stops receiving new data from that account. Historical data tied to it is retained per our Privacy Policy.
